Change in August Schedule

Due to Minnesota hosting this year’s National Championship and USA Gymnastics Congress this year, GRGA has adjusted its August schedule.   The four-week session for August will be split in two.   The first two weeks of August will be July 31-August 13.    The gym will be “off” and the summer clinic will be held during the third week of August (8/14-8/19) for levels 2 through 6.   Then, the final two weeks of the August session will be from August 20th to September 1st.

Tall Timbers Day Parade

GRGA wants your child’s participation in this year’s Tall Timbers Day Parade on Sunday August 6th.   Each child participating in the parade will receive a FREE T-SHIRT from GRGA to wear during the parade and a candy bag after the parade.    Also, before the parade, Andrea and Patrick will host a hot dog cook-out at their house, conveniently located at the parade start.  We welcome parents and siblings to participate as well.  We will have a “riding” float this year for those who do not wish to walk.  Please sign up in the lobby to participate in this fun event.

Fall 2006 Schedule

The Fall 2006 schedule is available in the gym lobby along with fall sign up sheets.   Please fill out your fall registration form and deposit it in the payment box.  Fall classes fill up fast and additional classes likely will not be added due to the lack of time available.

GRGA Annual Holiday Show

GRGA will host a Holiday Show again this year at Greenway High School for ALL dance and gymnastics students, including pre-school.   As the date nears, GRGA will order leotards for each student.   The cost for each leotard can be taken from your fundraising account.  So, if you haven’t begun fund-raising yet, this is a great reason to start.  Participation in the show is entirely optional.

Fall Open Gym

In order to provide more attention to our members and keep open gym a fun and safe event for all, open gym will now be a member-only event.   To participate in open gym, you must be enrolled in current classes.  GRGA also encourages members to utilize open gym as a make up class for any absences from regular class during the week.   We ask that you continue to call prior to missing class or attending any make up classes.   This helps GRGA ensure proper student to coach ratios.

Applebee’s Pancake Breakfast

The Grand Rapids Applebee’s will host the GRGA competitive team on August 12th from 8:00 to 10:00 AM for a pancake breakfast fundraiser.  GRGA competitive members will be pre-selling tickets for $5 each that are good for a full pancake breakfast courtesy of Applebee’s and their staff.   Also, at Applebee’s this day, GRGA’s team will be holding a car wash to further benefit their fundraising accounts.    Come by and support the GRGA team on August 12th and have an awesome breakfast at Applebee’s.   Tickets will be available before the event by purchasing from a competitive team member or at the information desk in the lobby.   Tickets can also be purchased at the door during the event.
