On December 17th, a Holiday Show will be held for all dance and gymnastics classes, including pre-school. Costumes will be ordered for dance students and leotards will be ordered for gymnastics students. Please fill out the attached envelope to indicate your intention to participate as well as your leotard size. Fundraising money may be used towards the costumes or leotards. Please indicate on the envelope if you choose to use money from your account. If you have not yet fundraised but are interested in doing so, please speak with the front desk about GRGA’s latest fundraising opportunities. Please have this envelope turned in by November 21st so costumes and leotards can be ordered.
Group and individual photos will be taken directly before the dress rehearsal for the Holiday Show.
GRGA will be closed for the week of Thanksgiving from Tuesday through Saturday. On Monday, November 21st, GRGA will be holding a make up class for classes that were canceled on 10/31. The 4th week of the November session will be November 28th through December 3rd. December session will begin on December 5th.
Congratulations to the level 4 and level 5 Competitive Teams for GRGA. Both teams have started their season with great success and we wish you the best of luck in your upcoming meets! Good Luck to GRGA level 7 gymnast Danielle Villeneuve as she competes this year for Grand Rapids High School. Good Luck also to GRGA gymnast Julie Kruchoski as she begins her first year competing for Gustavus Adolphus University. Grand Rapids Gymnastics Academy is very proud of our gymnast’s success and hope for continued achievement inside and outside the gym for our athletes. Way to go girls!
Former level 9 USAG gymnast and 2005 Minnesota State High School Meet Participant, Stacey Peterson, joins the staff at GRGA. Stacey brings experience and leadership to the gym and will prove to be a valuable asset in the continued growth and improvement of GRGA gymnasts. Welcome aboard Stacey!

Fundraising is an option that is available for all GRGA members to offset the costs of competitive gymnastics or dance performances. Gymnasts/Dancers do not need to be current competitive team members to fundraise. Proceeds raised through GRGA fundraisers are placed into an account for each individual and may be used for expenses associated with competition now or in the future. Cookie Dough order forms are available in the lobby and the sale ends December 9th. Please see the information desk for more information.
Congratulations to the Level 4 and 5 Competitive Teams on their great start to the 2005-06 season. The Level 4 Team brought home two team trophies by placing 3rd in the eight-team Ghost and Goblin Invite on October 28th and placing second in the six-team Jam Hops Fall Classic on November 13th. Mariah Harguth, age 10, led the way for the Level 4 Team in both meets. Harguth is in 5th grade at Connor Jasper Middle School and has been in gymnastics for 1 ½ years. Mariah’s strength is her powerful vaulting where she scored a 9.6 at her last meet. GRGA also has qualified nine gymnasts thus far to compete in the Level 4 State Meet next April. Level 4 Team Members: Mariah Harugth – 10, Hunter Cardwell – 8, Stephanie Jamsa – 11, Adrianna Broking – 9, Kaley Marok – 12, Emily Mann – 7, Abbie Geislinger – 9, Krislyn Virnig – 8, Sarah Childs – 8, Mckinley Hain – 8, Kaitlyn Calliguri – 8, Kenna Calliguri – 6, Tatum Klatt – 6, Annabelle Versich – 8, Isabel Hawk – 7, Dominique Flack – 12.
In Level 5 competition, Sarah Gardeski has led the way for her team in the first two meets of the season, while qualifying to the Level 5 State Meet held in December. Gardeski is a 5th grader at Lincoln Elementary School in Hibbing. Sarah commutes to GRGA three days a week and has been in gymnastics for 2 ½ years. Her strongest event is the floor exercise where her flexibility and grace shows through. Sarah’s highest score of the season is an 8.7 on the floor. GRGA’s Level 5 Team will be competing in the last of three state qualifier meets on November 20th. Level 5 Team Members: Sarah Gardeski - 10, Riley O’brien - 9, Alyssa Beaty - 10, Courtney Daigle - 8, Bobbi Jean Boyer – 10, Bailee Montavon-Brazerol – 7 and Angela Gareri - 10.
