Coach Profiles

 Andrea Hassel, GRGA Owner:

    

     Andrea Hassel is from Brainerd, MN and graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1997.  In high school she was a six year varsity letter winner and qualified to the state tournament three times.  She had the highest finish ever at State for a Grand Rapids girl with a 6th place finish on beam.  She currently holds the school balance beam record. 

 

     Andrea graduated from the University of WI - Stout in 2002, majoring in Child Development and Family Studies with a minor in working with adolescents.  While in college, Andrea competed for the UW-Stout Gymnastics program and lettered four years.  She broke the UW-Stout balance beam record in 2000.  She helped her team as an all-around gymnast to a 7th place finish at the 2001 National Collegiate Gymnastics Meet where they broke all previous UW-Stout records that year. 

 

     Andrea is a certified judge through the MN State High School League and judges during the high school competitive season throughout the northland.  She is also a professional member of USA Gymnastics and safety certified. 

 

 

 

 

 

Kayla Duncan

The Grand Rapids Gymnastics Academy is proud to announce the addition of Kayla (Domagall) Duncan as Head Dance Instructor and Gymnastics Instructor.   Kayla brings her 14 years of formal dance instruction and education in Child Development to GRGA.  With the addition of Kayla, GRGA is now offering dance classes year-round including; ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop and the area’s only dance/gymnastics class.  The Grand Rapids Gymnastics Academy offers programs for girls and boys ages 2 and up and is now taking fall registrations.  For more information, please call 326-3001 or visit www.grgymacademy.com
