Hello GRGA members!
Below we have some additional information for any child that plans to join GRGA on our parade float for Tall Timbers Days on Sunday, August 5th. • We will be entry number 19. Since we are early in the parade, once our float has completed the route, we will pull over and the children can sit in the grass to watch the remainder of the parade. • At the conclusion of the parade, we will bring the children back up to the Fairgrounds where you may pick up your child in the same spot as you dropped them off. • Gymnasts should wear a leotard, shorts, socks and tennis shoes. • Please have your child to the fairgrounds between 12:15 and 12:30. The entrance can be very congested at this time, so please see the below instructions regarding drop off and pick-up from the Tall Timber Days organizers.
* Individuals that need to park a vehicle to join/ride floats or to drop off children, will enter the Parade Gate 1 (off NW 14th Street). Please make sure to leave any extra vehicles there. Note: Do not park on the pavement where we will be lining up.
• Parents who are dropping off children to join floats will enter Gate 1, find the correct float in the staging area and then exit again through Gate 1. • Participants may not enter the fairgrounds via Gate 2 (the round-a-bout entrance). • The parade route starts at the fairgrounds, goes south on fairgrounds road, through roundabout, south on NE 3rd Avenue, West on NE 6th Street, North on NW 2nd Ave, Ending at NW 11th Street. Lastly, please remember, we need to have a GRGA waiver signed, available at the gym or www.grgymacademy.com under the parade link, AND the on-line waiver from Tall Timber Days, the link is also available at our website. If you need to contact us the day of the parade, I can be reached at 651-271-7742 Thanks, Patrick
